NASR NASCAR Heat Rules
Introduction:
These rules will apply to all Nascar Heat mods that we will use in this league. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as an excuse for breaking them. Each competitor on signing up to a series automatically agrees to abide by these rules. New Age Sim Racing requires Patch 1.80 for all league races. , everyone must have this version of the game in order to join the server.
Any amendments to the rules will be announced in the forum on the site, please check on a regular basis.
--------------------------------------------------------------
General Section:
Anyone can sign up as a driver for participation in the league, if he/she meets the following requirements:
* Participants must agree to abide by the rules laid out
* Participants must agree to abide by the decisions of the Administators.
* Participants agree to be prepared for the race at race time (make sure you have correct track, mod, wheel setting etc. before race time)
* Participants will be allowed to have 2 custom car file for each series (unless it is posted that custom files will not be allowed for a particular series), these must be posted in forum at least one week before using to ensure every participant time to download
* Participants must connect to the server using the ISDN option
* When using Mod Launcher to connect to the server please disable GCF's and turn vertex damage off
* All league members MUST be registered on the Leagues forum and must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times on the forum. There is to be no foul language or flame wars on the forum. If there is an issue of any kind, PM the league admins and they will take care of it.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Driver Conduct:
Conduct on the track:
* During all sessions drivers must follow the basic guidelines of entering and exiting pit lane (explained further in pitting section)
* Drivers are expected to be prepared for the track they are racing and be able to maintain a safe line that they can race to the best of their ability
* If you make a mistake and catch the apron or hit the wall, make every effort to stay out of the racing line until you are back up to racing speed. This will prevent small incidents from becoming major pile-ups
* Corner cutting is not allowed. Two wheels must remain on the racing surface at all times. You may ride the aprons/curbs but at least two wheels should remain on the racing surface. This includes tracks with large front aprons.
* It is important to be aware of whats going on around you. Use your mirrors. You are responsible for what you do with your car
* Drivers may race to stay on the lead lap, but if you are 1 or more lap down you must safely move out of lead lap drivers way
* You must obey any commands given from an admin as soon as it is safe to do so
* When issues do arise handle the situation in a professional manner by contacting the league administration team. They will deal with the incident after reviewing the replay
* Retaliatory actions/Intentional wrecking will not be tolerated (see three strike rule)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Race Conduct:
Passing:
* "Moving" another car by excessive bumping forcing them out of their line is not allowed.
* Failure to respect a drivers braking point by bumping or forcing them out of their line on corner entry is not allowed.
* Blocking is not allowed. Blocking is defined as changing your line more than once in an obvious attempt to prevent a car from safely executing a pass.
* You may make one move to defend your position, any other move is blocking.
* Lapped cars are encouraged to let the leaders pass on the racing line unless they are racing for position.
* Cars slowed by damage are encouraged to let other cars pass unless they are racing for position with other damaged cars.
* It is the overtaking car's responsibility to execute a safe pass.
* If a car has position on you, you are expected to hold your line (either high or low).
* You are expected to maintain proper control of your vehicle at all times. Most incidents occur on corner entry so extra care must be taken. Failure to hold your line resulting in contact to a passing car may result in a penalty.
Overly aggressive driving will not be tolerated. A driver forcing the issue with dangerous passes, weaving recklessly through traffic or deliberate intimidation will be penalized. (see three strike rule)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Accidents:
If you are involved in an accident
* Try to get off the racing line as quickly and safely as possible
* Wait for all race traffic to get past you before turning around on the track
* Stay low or off the track when trying to limp back to the pits for repairs
--------------------------------------------------------------
Attendance Policy:
* All driver's will have 2 provisionals per season, drivers must inform an admin prior to race time or post in the forum before race time in order to use a provisonal for that race
* No use of a substitute driver will be allowed
* Intentionally disconnecting from the server because of not being able to run is not acceptable. Only in extreme circumstances should this be allowed, safely park your car on the infield AWAY from the track to allow other drivers to continue racing
* If you are disconnected from the server during a race for reasons beyond your control, you must be present in chat after the race to notify an Admin of your situation. If you notify an Admin you will receive last place points for that event
--------------------------------------------------------------
Pitting Procedure:
* All Drivers must signal in some way that they are pitting or exiting the pits (ex. PPP or pitting, XXX or exiting)
* When pitting, you must enter the apron on the backstretch and follow it around to the pits at a speed that will not cause you to slide back up onto the track
* When exiting, follow the apron around the track and exit after you have cleared the turn. Try to stay low on the track and do not dart out in front of traffic
* The only exception to using the apron to pit is for tracks that have access roads leading to pit road
* All drivers must enter pit road at legal pit road speed
**Please watch the video below for an example of correct pitting procedure.**
-------------------------------------------------------------
