Schedule of events for the NASR All-Star Showdown:
- Server will be open for practice once an admin arrives. All drivers practicing in the server need to arrive in the proper mod, in the proper car, and have their tex file (if using a custom paint) uploaded in the appropriate thread. This is the time to make sure you have everything in proper working order on your end as we will not be holding the server for anyone.
- All drivers who are racing in the All-Star Showdown must be in the server no later than 7:50 PM Eastern time. This Includes drivers guaranteed a starting spot in the Showdown. Any driver showing up after this time (without prior approval) will not be allowed to qualify for the Open and if they are a driver with a guaranteed starting spot, they forfeit that starting spot and will have to race in the Open and will not be allowed a qualifying run.
- There will be a driver’s meeting at 7:50 PM to recap how the races will be run and answer any questions.
- Any guaranteed starting spot driver who is not in the server before the start of the Open will not be allowed to start in the Showdown. This is so we can determine how many drivers will transfer from the Open to the Showdown. This number will be announced just before the start of the Open.
- The Open will be a 25 lap race, with 3x wear. All drivers who are racing in the Open will be required to qualify. Drivers who are guaranteed a starting position in the Showdown will skip qualifying and park safely on pit road immediately after the green flag. This race will require a pit stop. All NASR pitting procedures apply for this race. If you are unsure of these procedures, please visit our rules page. There is also an example video. Any violation of pitting procedure during the open will result in a loss of 2 positions from your finishing position for each infraction. Black flags will be enabled.
- Upon completion of the Open, drivers who did not transfer into the Showdown will be asked to leave the server.
- Segment 1 will be a 25 lap race, 3x wear with a 15 car starting field. Drivers who were guaranteed a starting spot will then qualify. Drivers who advanced into the Showdown will not be allowed to qualify and will start in random order behind the drivers who are allowed to qualify.
- Once again this will require a pit stop. Same penalties apply as in the Open.
- Upon completion of segment 1, 11 drivers will transfer to Segment 2. Drivers who did not transfer will be asked to leave the server.
- Segment 2 will be a 15 lap race, 3x wear. All drivers will make a qualifying run.
- Upon completion of segment 2, 8 drivers will transfer into the 3rd and final segment. All driver who did not transfer will be asked to leave the server.
- Segment 3 will be a 10 lap sprint, 3x wear with a random start. First car to the checkered flag wins.
The winner of the final segment will be the NASR All-Star Showdown Champion and will receive a t-shirt with picture of their car as shown on the NASR forum.
As always, all NASR rules apply for this event. This includes no restarts for reasons other than grid issues and our conduct rules. We strongly advise reading over the rules page and being familiar with our rules before entering the server on race night.
Remember, sign-ups for drivers who are guaranteed a starting spot in the Showdown will close on March 30th at 10PM. You may still sign up after the deadline, but you will have to race for your starting spot in the Open.
